Gayle Neville
Gayle Neville is the person behind Tool Protect.
When her son began his electrical apprenticeship and started to spend his hard-earned money on growing his collection of power tools, she knew if the tools were stolen the impact would be huge.
The cost of replacement would hurt him financially, but the theft would also impact his ability to continue working and learning to become trade qualified.
Gayle’s husband Dan is a Queensland Police Officer, and she knows from him how many tradies’ tools are stolen every day. The problem is happening now and it’s very real. Gayle also knows it’s almost impossible for police to reunite tradies with their tools without a serial number recording and reporting system.
Gayle, who is a nurse and works fulltime in a busy hospital ward, considers herself one of the most low-tech people around. However, she decided an app could be the answer to the problem.
So, Tool Protect was born
We are so grateful for tool protect
We had one of our fleet vehicles broken into and all power tools stolen.
Luckily we had saved all tools on the app as this led to the Police being able to locate one of our stolen tools and have it returned to us. We always recommend Tool Protect to our fellow trades and our team of plumbers.
